Grounded by AirAsia
I just got a call from my parents in Langkawi. At the time of the call, they were supposed to have boarded the plane. So when my phone rang, I thought, “Aren’t they supposed to be on the plane right now?”.
Apparently the engine (or engines - it was unclear as the call was brief) could not start. All passengers were stranded and things were (and still are - as I’m writing this, I believe) in a mess. Mom said that AirAsia would probably put them on a new flight if that particular plane couldn’t take off. Whatever it is, their departure is delayed indefinitely.
The irony is that, in just less than 10 minutes before I received mom’s call, I was telling sis about how we could fly on FAX and go yamcha in London, as suggested by Papimami and yit4s. Ho-humm…
(AirAsia X is a sub. of FAX, which, again, is a sub. of AirAsia and if you’ve seen today’s paper, you’d know that they’re chanting “Now Everyone Can Fly Extra-long”.)
Probably, for AirAsia, they could use “Now Everyone Can FlyWait Extra-long”.

Low air fare concept applies to flight between a 2-3 hours distance. I admire Tony’s big plan to launch the X, he must be able to think of some totally new concept which completely different from what airasia or other flight company has. That is why, he called it a X. Our level is only at yamcha in London (that is what I think of also when read the news.. hahah)
Hahaha!! I’ve always known that AirAsia memang tak boleh harap! Lol :P Pity your Mum though. Is everything ok now? I’ve yet to hear anyone who is happy with it. Except for the cheap prices, evrything else is not good.
Eh you thing somebody from some organization sabotaj the airplane? I heard plenty of engine failure episodes recently by AirAsia. Something is fishy.
But anyway I’m so happy with the AirAsia X news. Now I can fly to Manchester and visit my big boys at Old Trafford! Wohoooo
wow.. imagine having a VIP seat at Old Trafford, and having air asia to delay the flight and make sure you arrive the stadium, right on the final whistle.. and MU just beat Chelsea 4-0..
The flight was delayed for about 4 hours, as airport staff carried out repair works on the faulty plane. Just thankful that the engine didn’t stall mid-air lol.
Anyway, AirAsia X is good news to our country nevertheless. (For some reason, something’s telling me that the EPL is going to benefit from this - either direct or indirectly :p)
Thank you for dropping by, everyone :)
