I should’ve known. The two-column layout wouldn’t stay for long. Even my old blogs ran on three-columns. And because I love this theme, I decided to modify it. Obviously it’s much easier to modify an existing theme compared to creating a new one from scratch.

Narrowband.org

As you can see, I’ve added a second sidebar and rearranged the contents. The site would still be Valid XHTML 1.0 Transitional as well as CSS if it weren’t for the external RSS feeds added in the second sidebar. I don’t know if I should put them here on the site (and share it with you guys) or just keep ‘em in my Feedreader. For one, these feeds do increase the pages’ loading time.

I’ve also added a MyBlogLog widget on the sidebar - something many bloggers have begun using. Yahoo! owns it now ;)It’s been removed! It practically froze my site’s loading time! I couldn’t stand it. Other changes made include the header images. I’ve changed a new set of (4) header images to fill the wider space. Previous images were too ‘default’ (read: common), because for some reason they’re very popular on stock.xchng (Darn… everybody goes there for stock images).

The new header images were sourced from stock.xchng too, but I’ve done some editing so they don’t appear ‘too familiar’ to you (in case you’ve seen them before!). In any case, I don’t know if the site’s been ‘improved’ - because as far as the loading time is concerned, it’s bad! Then again, my internet connection has been very poor these days. I’ll need to check with TMNet soon.

Meanwhile, enjoy reading and I shall improvise accordingly from time to time.
