I heard about Rain’s concert. Uhm, concerts, in fact. His Singapore concert tickets were among the most expensive ever sold on the island. He performed in Madison Square Garden in New York, last year. His world tour includes the US, Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam *gasp…*… Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. His popularity is simply out of this world (although I doubt that everyone understands his singing).

His concert this weekend has been widely publicised. The whole venue will sport some super high-tech stuff that would ‘take audience into a different dimension’ (or something like that - read that in the papers this morning). I kinda like him too. No, really. I mean he’s got the skills and the physique. His immense popularity has even made him one of Times’ 100 Most Influential Persons in the world. Pretty impressive, I’d say.

But given the choice of either a Boyz II Men’s concert ticket or Rain’s, without question - I’m all for Boyz II Men’s.

Why? Because I understand English better than Korean. Heck, I only know “anyeonghasaoyeo” (screw spelling, ok?) and “sarangeyo”. I’ve been listening to Boyz II Men since the day I learnt how to add and subtract. I bought their CD’s, sang along with them and love their songs. I mean, if I’d chosen Rain’s concert I’d most probably be lost in his singing, and not to mention girls screaming away as he rips his clothes off.

So to those of you who’re ditching Boyz II Men’s concert for Rain’s, I’m sure you’ll be wowed nonetheless (regardless of your command of the Korean language). I’ll be in Genting enjoying Boyz II Men’s concert :). It’s a pity Michael left, though - Boyz II Men as I knew them, were made up of four great vocalists. My favourite song? On Bended Knees, of course.

Btw, just for the record, I’m straight as arrow. No doubt about that.

Update@2352hrs, Fri Jan 26th: Boyz II Men was awesome. The a capella intro of On Bended Knees really got the crowd all hyped up. It was the second song of the night! Shall update more after tomorrow. (They will be doing another show tomorrow night, same songs and venue).
