My last day of work was more than a week ago. Last night, the company had an annual dinner at Kianti’s and it was really nice to be invited as well. It was attended by employees from several partner companies, and we had the restaurant and pub all to ourselves.

The guys from the partner companies enjoyed drinking. A lot. They’d drink anything from wine to vodka, but strictly no soft drinks. The food was yummy, although they were missing the pizzas. After dinner, were treated to a special gift-exchange game, where each person could go home with the gift of his or her choice.

While the larger ones were quickly snapped up initially, in the end some of the smaller ones were arguably among the most desirable because they included pendrives and cash, to name a few. The night ended with a karaoke session which we didn’t participate in. We adjourned to a nearby mamak restaurant and instead. That was also when I got my last pay cheque!
