February Babies’ Dinner at Marche

It was the beginning of a long night. We had no plans, no arrangement and we hadn’t even decided where to go for dinner. All we knew was that the occasion must be celebrated. We finally went down to Marche (strictly, it’s Marché), at The Curve.

We’ve been celebrating birthdays together for a number of years now. Since we’re in our final semester, I wonder how often will we get to do this in the future. And yes, we’re all suckers for Secret Recipe cakes.

Steph turned 23 on February 23rd (like Jasonmumbles), and Fai turned 24 on the last day of the month (nope, he’s not a leapling). Although highly expected, we smuggled in the cake as discreetly as possible. And when everyone had finished their food, one of the waitresses actually went up to Steph and asked if we wanted the cake. Doh!

There were so many of us but only one camera. Guess who suffered? The ones not holding the camera. Because we needed to strike a pose, and then wait for our turns. I think Jwen got turned on while waiting by touching himself on his lips with his pinkie. He got his nips erected.

I had ‘Malaysian Dessert’ from the drinks stall and it was a mistake. The pasta was nice though. So was Fai’s lamb shank. We took lots of silly pictures, some most of which are best kept offline. Heh.

Hui (left) could easily pass as a racing car driver, thanks to her ‘anti-braking’ (which is very different from ‘anti-lock braking‘, ya..) techniques when sweeping corners Malaysian beauty queen. People say that Ipoh is where the pretty ladies are. I say go down to Seremban (the two are Serembanians).

Save for two ‘special cases’, the picture above is pretty much a group pic. Steph was seen trying to imitate her favorite character from Monsters Inc., Sully Mike.

This photo was secretly taken, that’s why no one looked at the camera. Don’t believe me? It was the photographer’s fault.

Licia and LW. I still prefer LW without her cheeks covered. Licia decided that the mosquito in front of her was more interesting than the camera lens.

Lost? Try the floor directory. We were thinking of where to go after our hearty meal at Marche. The night, like they say, was still young.

Ok, that’s as far as it goes. No more pictures of the rest of the night on this politically-correct personal blog. Hehe. That night was a blast!

2. yalo, who choose marche? damn expensive la, not full also… next time go italianese on wednesday, eat all you can pasta, only rm19.90++, sit whole day eat breakfast, lunch, dinner, supper also can, hehe…

4. I think the price wasn’t really over-the-top. Besides, we all enjoyed ourselves tremendously and I guess that’s what’s most important :).

   I have never taken advantage of Itallianies’ Wednesday pasta promotions (although I receive numerous SMS alerts about this!), would love to check it out soon.

6. Damn. For some reason I knew this was coming. Blame it on liwei, she just popped out of nowhere so many times wherever the camera was pointed. But you look so pweety in that picture ^^…

7. Have been there a few times on my wife and friend’s insistence but I have to agree with your friends – there are cheaper alternative with better food.
