I’ve been out and about - and I managed to immortalize some of my sightings. I initially planned to published this at the end of this week, but I have some interesting pictures I can’t wait to show here. I came across a peculiar (well, to me at least) tree with interesting thorns:

Not much could be done to the exposure settings, hence the high contrast. I appreciate tips and suggestions on how to improve macro shots with a compact camera (FX01 in my case). In case you haven’t already known, yours truly is a photography n00b. I managed to capture a few less-peculiar, thorny plants too:

Cactuses! The Canon EOS 350D belonged to a friend. It was addictive, to say the least. One of those DSLRs costs about 5 times my Panasonic Lumix FX01. Its superiority was unquestionable. The last pic above looks like a male’s sexual anatomy, according to a friend. Well I don’t blame her. (Yep, it was a ‘her’ who said that.)

Here are some more shots taken with the camera:

And as for the pic above, the pink little flowers clearly stood out because there weren’t any other flowers around them.

I want a Canon EOS 350 :(.
