A friend of mine, WN will be leaving for New York State next week under the WAT USA Program. So lucky of her. We met up yesterday for a meal at Nando’s.

Little did I know, I was in for a big surprise. That bunch of boys and girls decided to celebrate my birthday, although it’s still more than a month away!

Well the ‘logic’ was that one of us will not be around, and that my birthday was the “closest” among everyone else’s. I’m still in a daze of the reason but I gobbled down the cake anyway. It tasted really good, despite the messy scribbles, hehe…

When the cake first came and the birthday song was sung, I was still trying to register what the heck was happening. I thought I had forgotten someone’s birthday and it was embarrassing.

Anyway, the best part was, I got lovely gift from them. A very good pick, actually. It was a neck-tie, something I could use!

And I love it a lot. Not only was it a good choice of item, I like the colour too! Thanks, guys. That was my first time celebrating a birthday more than 30 days in advance. Certainly felt kind of weird, but I was very happy nonetheless!
