Singapore has been treating me okay. Since touching down on Tuesday, I’ve been working til about 6.30pm daily. I do drop by my blog and check my emails once in a while but I never had the energy to write a decent entry. Everyday, after dinner and everything, I’m simply too exhausted to do anything else.

Our apartment has three rooms, and that’s perfect because there’re only three of us here (well, in the first week, at least). One of us will be leaving tomorrow though, so there’ll be only two persons occupying this three-room unit. I was thinking that maybe we can even throw a party or something……

That’s my room for three weeks. I hate the idea of putting two single beds together because I need to choose which bed to sleep on. But that is not something that we can change. The apartment is quite near our working place, and it’s pretty easy to get food and groceries nearby. It is, however, quite far from the city so it’s a little boring here in this part of the island.

Our working place for these three weeks is in Jurong - the place where industrial giants congregate. We’re here to run some tests, and troubleshoot problems - if any. You know, I really want to tell you more about the nature of my work here but I have vowed not to blog about my job online :p

Moving about Singapore is not an issue, as we’ve rented a car for the duration of our stay here. After leaving our workplace just now, we went to this La Mei Zi buffet-steamboat restaurant located somewhere near Beach Road. We’ve been working hard on weekdays (even today - a Saturday), so it’s only apt that we tried something different.

That red-coloured soup you see in that yin-yang steamboat was damn spicy I tell you. The place was packed (we queued to get a table, ok!), and the (lack of) air-conditioner was not helpful at all. I felt like I was in a sauna. We were later taught the correct way to enjoy the steamboat (and the soup tasted less spicy!) - thanks to the restaurant manager. Excellent service I’d say.

That meal set us back by some SGD70 (to be shared among 4 people). We’re still trying to think of interesting places to go, things to do, nice restaurants to patronize… Any recommendations? Maybe a little shopping will be nice too……

P/s: Don’t miss the Formula 1 showdown, ya?

Edit @ 2129hrs, Oct 21: I was checking the schedule for the Brazilian GP today on Astro’s website (don’t ask me why - it’s an old habit) even though I’ll be watching it via StarHub. I rarely go directly to ESPN’s site for schedules. So anyway, on Astro’s site, what I got was this:

Can anyone tell me the difference between the first and the third set of programmes?
