I read that it’s supposed to be a special day today for singletons in China, because Nov 11 indicates ‘11/11′, which is made up of quadruple 1’s. Not sure how the heck that came about, but it sure is a piece of interesting info. This occasion is also said to be highly commercialized and popular, given the number of singles - which is increasing due to “rising gender imbalance” - in that country. Here in KL, it was just another Sunday. And I finally stepped foot into a cinema again since Transformers. This time it was Bee Movie. Er, entertaining… entertaining… that’s all I can say. At least I got to eat the sweet caramel popcorns.

After I came back from my working trip, I drew up a couple of new resolutions, which are related to both career and personal developments. I shan’t elaborate, but suffice to say I need these short-term goals to keep me… uhm, motivated. Don’t you think living life without a goal is a little meaningless? It’s like you’re taking each day as it comes and you’re doing things for the sake of doing it, hoping they’d lead you somewhere. I have both long and short-term goals, and I roughly know where I want to be. Whether or not I’ll achieve them is another matter, but at least I have some goals to begin with, and I’m never more charged up to achieve them.

Anyway let’s loosen up a little and not dive into boring personal stuff. I have been going out pretty frequently in the past couple of days, meeting up with friends for meals. Several friends came down from Penang and we caught up with each other, which was really nice considering we rarely see each other often. HH and Adel treated me to a Thai dinner (note pic of Tomyam above) because I guided them on some photoshop trick, which worked neatly. So now you know sharing photoshop tips could earn you a Thai meal!. Anyhow, dessert later that night was on me (was trying to alleviate my guilt!). We met up with the rest of the gang at Italiannies, and words cannot describe how much I missed that bunch of friends.

Steph and Timun took a day off and spent their long weekend in KL. Honestly, the Deepavali day off was a huge relief for me since I returned, because I hardly had time to rest. Yesterday I was in PJ for a rare dim sum breakfast with Alicia and Steph, which really made me miss our university days. Thank you Alicia for the brekkie!. And uh… let me now reveal the real reason why I hadn’t been updating my blog. I was too preoccupied learning about my new toy. I told you I was highly motivated (to get one). It was crazy. I made Sis tag along so she could stay in the car (in the jam) while I went in and got my baby. I knew which shop I was going to, because several friends recommended it. Indeed, I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I was ecstatic.
