Hectic Week
It’s been confirmed - I will be joining a Japanese language course starting next week. I think the time is just right considering I’ve just joined the workforce, and am still single with plenty of time to self-improve. Rather than idling away precious time, I’ve decided that I must pick up as much knowledge and as many skills as possible. I’ll see how it affects my schedule and lifestyle, before looking for other classes to take. A friend suggested ACCA and I went like O__O!!
Khek’s 23rd Birthday at TGIF

Anyway, Khek turned 23 two days ago so we had a small gathering at TGIF. The place is quickly becoming a haven for birthday celebrations, thanks to the trademark song-singing and noise-making treatment from the staffs. In almost every visit - as far as I can remember anyway - I’ve always heard them sing birthday songs and celebrate at least one person’s birthday. Note: To those of you who have access to the photos, feel free to use them anyhow wish.
GPS on the Nokia 6110 Navigator Phone

We made a trip to my grandma’s, ‘aided’ by live GPS signals showing the movement of our vehicle towards our destination. Sis’ 6110 navigator phone provided excellent tracking and response throughout our journey (LDP-Putrajaya-Kajang-Semenyih route). It’s not like we didn’t know the way; we just wanted to try and ‘GPS’ our way through the roads and highways. I wonder if Nokia 6110’s GPS software can be installed into my phone. It seems to be pretty accurate!
Youth Leadership Program

Actually, prior to writing this entry, I had just returned from a Youth Leadership Program (YLP) that I’ve been helping to facilitate. It is organized by Extol Toastmasters, of which I’m a member. The YLP is open to teenagers aged 11 to 18, and this year’s response has been overwhelming. District 51 International Speech Champion, Stephen Fernando was also invited to conduct a session. I was made speech evaluator, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sessions. The program also made its way into last Saturday’s Star Metro.
And the week is not over yet. I gotta drive down to Nilai tomorrow morning and return for the closing stages of the YLP. I’m starting to look forward to next week already…… I’ll be going to watch an acoustic performance by Rick Price and James Morrison, as well as to have a seafood fiesta with my colleagues! It’s gonna be my 4th time eating crabs in 2 months… lol (gotta watch the cholly levels). Have a good Sunday, you ;)

Fuiohh you seems to be getting busier and busier! :P
Someone’s busy putting time to good use. GAnbatte
FINALLY AN UPDATEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i actually read your first line as japanese curse course! swt….my eyes i know. LOL!
ps: anyway u r among the top three applicants in the ‘be my bf’ thingy. erm….congrats?
Someone’s getting busier and busier… hope you still have time to update your blog? *grin*
did you say james morrison? is it that james morrison? i like!
free time and take ACCA ?? that’s just nuts …
single, learn japanese …. wanna go after jap chick ? hehehe
Japanese? So common la..
Take Swiss or German or Icelandic. Hahaha.
Sat - Eh the GPS feature aside, the phone’s pretty good and sturdy too. At least it feels that way in my hands. It’s not a very light phone, by the way. The brushed metal-finishing on the body is a novelty.
Menghua - Oops, he knows already… No I didn’t telll him one! *Honest* What a coincidence… I’m glad you could make here your ‘meeting’ point ;p
Angel - Hai haii…!! Yapunis lengluis?? I better practise with some guinea pigs first ;p The GPS arh… no subscription eh…
I’m not sure if we’re allowed to bring cameras into the concert!
Khek - Aww come on man, you look just fine. I’m sure everybody agrees :). I chose it carefully :p
Che-cheh - Yeah that’s a good thing as long as it doesn’t blow too big a hole in the wallet!
Alicia - Thank you Lobak :)
Pinksterz - Yes I’m aware of my ‘achievements’ over there at your blog… I received a number of hits from your site! *flattered*
The siao-ness in you and your ‘campaign’ must be commended :p
Rinnah - Updates ah… Of course I’ll keep updating. I paid for this domain mah, heheheh… I’ll do it whenever I have time and feel comfortable enough, donchyoo worry! *Grins*
Faylin - Ya lor, *that* James Morrison lor. Heard of the Live and Loud KL ‘07? It’s one of the events la :D
JasonP - Yea nutty suggestion. It was just a joke :p I don’t mind a jap chickaa, but my primary intention isn’t that, really ;)
Deng - First I’ll go for something practical, because I’m working in a Japanese company, and we often interact with the Japanese. Later on only I’ll pursue something more ‘European’ - likely French, because I have taken it before and I love it.
Take your personal time to learning useful thing that help to improve yourself really good examples! BUT I just lazy to do that….
Somemore go for Youth Leadership Program, wah you really hardworking and always standby to improve yourself le… Hmmm good good.. hehehe…
omg that guy in the pic.. he wanna be godzilla isit
I don’t think you can install 6110’s software into you phone. I bought the bf the n95 as well and the GPS is crapshit. Even if you get route66’s powered software into, it still slower than average. You have no idea how many turns I missed because of the laggy updates. All that and you still have to pay for the live tracking and voice activation.
Anata wa nihongo wa benkyo shimasu. Good! Maybe we can practice. I am so out of practice I think my grammar is wrong in the last sentence.
I cant live without GPS now … :)
the gps working fine in 6110? does it take very long to get the signal during the start? will the software lag? like, after u turn left then only it asks u to turn?
good for u to take de japenese language class.. i have a colleague who took it too.. now she can even read japaense book, but not too advance la! really respect her!
Should we be expecting Japanese posts soon?
lol 23d birthday looks so happy huh
6110 navigator looks good oh, do you feel any laggy when u use the application?
Khek looks like the famous Kenny??? The GPS thingy looks cool! Can guide to wherever you want to go?
ei..why la u dont take French instead? continue the level ma, since u took b4 adi..
but since u work for a jap company..makes sense also..can send u to japan for project when need to liaise with the parent company..
hahaha time for some anime then??? highly recommend Naruto and Bleach… hugz
I feel like i know u more now.. and 1 thing i’m really sure, u taking up Japanese NOT because of the jap chicks factor.. my admiration :) oh u could also take up some lessons from Eric for some sweet moves.. well just to burn some time, not those disco party kind, but some latin dances or well u know.. would be fun.. :)
you damn bad wei, MMSed me the concert tic some more *cries. Pergi tak ajak some moreeeee…
Didnt take pics?
*still sad.
