I can honestly tell you, Narrowband has lost his blogging steam (if you haven’t already noticed) - no thanks to heavy workload and off-working hours activities. I worked late on most days, and when I don’t, I head down to the gym. Jap classes are on Wednesdays, but I missed the payment deadline for the first group (whose classes commenced last week, and had *all* places filled up!!). Therefore mine will begin next week. Bummer!

Anyway, I’ve been out shopping during the weekends. Y’know it’s time to upgrade my wardrobe, now that a new year is coming soon. Besides, the sales is really something you can’t ignore. Hahaha. And so is the PC Fair, too…

The humongous Christmas tree in KLCC. I need a wide-angle to capture the whole tree! As usual, KLCC and the Convention Center were crowded like sardine cans but nobody seemed to mind.

I bought a lot of memory upgrades - an 80Gb external drive, a 4Gb CF card, a 4Gb thumbdrive (as a comparison, my old one can only hold 512MB!), and a 2Gb Micro SD card (half of the items are for my sis). There were some other ‘toys’ too, mainly for fun, hehe. Like uhm… a car MP3 player with FM modulator? LOL. Wanted to get a webcam as well but decided that it was too expensive and would be under-utilised anyway.

It’s scary to think about our growing dependence on portable memory drives these days. Some files may be sensitive and some files may be not, but they’re all stored in the same thumbdrive and what if the drive one day fails? That’s why it’s always good to keep a backup copy of all your files.

Short talk: I am very disappointed with the state of instability (not to mention bad publicity) in our country in recent weeks. First it was the street protests, which became quite a trend. And then there were women being abducted, raped and the perpetrators are still at large. Allegations of corruption, also, have been quite a buzz. If you think none of these concern you, I urge you, please think again. Think how *you* can make a difference.
