Christmas Decorations

After the PC Fair on Saturday, we went to 1U the following day to catch The Golden Compass. Well, I won’t tell much about the movie, but there was one line that made many cinema-goers chuckle (even myself, I just couldn’t help it :p). Uttered by Iorek Byrnison to Lyra, it went like, “You… wish to ride me?” (of course, it was a purely innocent line with no pun intended). It’s a children’s show so don’t expect too much. Entertaining, nonetheless. And here’s something equally entertaining:-

1U’s new wing had this toy soldier-themed Christmas deco that was pretty interesting. While the Christmas trees are not as big as the one put up in KLCC, it has the biggest toy soldier (possibly) in the country. Haha! Its head can turn from left to the right, and to the left again all-day long without getting a neckache. A brass band was preparing to do a performance on stage that day.

Monday was a working day and it was one of the gloomiest Mondays ever!! It rained more than 24 hours non-stop, and I woke up to a foul mood in the morning. It wasn’t good at all. There was so much work to be done and I didn’t talk much. The workload made time seem to pass alot quicker, thankfully. I remember feeling so relieved that the next day (today) would be a Public Holiday for Selangor. Daulat Tuanku!!! Hahaha…

Midvalley Megamall was our destination this time and we went early to beat the jam (and get a parking!). Spent the entire day shopping. Took photos (pic above) of the decorations and visited Tu-Long Restaurant (at the Boulevard) for the first time. To the uninitiated, Tu-Long (please, don’t attempt to read it out loud in English) is of course, a new restaurant opened by MY FM‘s DJ Lam Tak Weng. Didn’t take pics in the restaurant though (really, I still haven’t mastered the art of shameless photo-taking in quiet, public places).

Anyway, I know I have a number of readers who’re currently not in Malaysia (or Klang Valley, for that matter). With these photos now I hope I’ve made you miss home a little bit more…… Bwahaha…

Have a fantastic week ahead, you! ;)

P/s: Omg tomorrow’s my first-ever Jap class! *Excited*

P/s2: Photos taken with too low f-stop values (aperture), so please forgive the softness near the edges (if you notice at all). Won’t repeat this mistake again for wide-angled shots, I plomis…

  19. Wuah… (eyes sparkling with stars) 1U’s soldier is much much bigger than Orchard’s. Wish I can see that too. Last year’s Mid Valley deco is nicer, with candies n ginger bread man ad last last year was full of snow. this year I like 1U’s more. I love all those cute n fairy style design. I miss Malaysia so much~~

  25. Angel – Deco of the year get what prize wan? RM10 KittyKat mouse? :p Eh… normal people only will think like that mar… where got ‘uai’… I very the ‘guai’ eh…!

Nihongo class veli teh interesting :P:P

Pinksterz – You already so sukak Egypt, I cannot do anything. Hahaha…

Day-dreamer – Teach?!? Haha… I’m not even very good myself yet. Not many people are interested in learning Jap here… I better keep to myself :p

Rinnah – It’s Saturday today and I didn’t go to any malls… No pic updates… :( I heard the deco in Pavillion KL is very nice too… Maybe I find time to go next week larh.

Keeyit – Hahah… Very clever to talk wo… LOL! Nowadays I just carry my camera in my backpack to most places that I go… ;p

Giddy Tiger – And the Xiao Long Bao!! But I don’t like the fact that once you go in, you can smell the smokey smell inside (mostly due to size of the outlet, and lack of ventilation). Once you leave the restaurant and get home, can smell the layer of oil + smoke on your clothes one.

Julee – Too bad I haven’t got any pics of Genting’s deco… I heard Pavillion pun not bad. Maybe I’ll aim for that one next week :p

Che-cheh – Eh, why not la? Go jalan-jalan also ok ma!

Wuching – Hello to you too! :D

LW – I was waiting for your call the whole day and you just left me high and dry *sobs*

Chen – Hmm… and I thought I was the only one who had this ‘uai’ thinking… Why so serong pikiran? tsk tsk :p

Sure Penang also get geh… You haven’t been exploring maybe?

Deng – Another serong pikiran mia orang ;p Tarak softness mar tarak softness lo… hehe. Tak nampak takper… Keep it that way!

TZ – Yes the jam was terrible, I saw while we were on our way out. Luckily we were there in the earlier part of the day. Haha. So long and all the cars not moving – bumper-to-bumper crawl into the MV carpark!

Merdurian – Yar!! I like it too! Refreshing isn’t it? ;)

ECL – I hope she’ll be okay soon, so you can come and soak in the Malaysian Xmas atmosphere (if you’d call it that way) ;p.

KK – Oh haha, go ahead and steal them ;) Yes I heard about Pavillion too… Stopp reminding me~~~ My hands are feeling itchy already~~~! Heh!

Jiayi – Better than a fixed structure with no movements eh? Nifty! ;)

Cybie – Yea, Midvalley’s not very impressive this year. You love everything that’s cute and cartoonish~~ Oh, when you coming back? *Grins*.

Ei, plz buy me a drink for using my space to advertise your blog ;p

Cincau – Yeah I agree the MV one can be better. But at least got something there leh… for the effort, ok la. If don’t compare la. Well, as you can see, many people take photos with it anyway :p

    Neo – Yes, you’re right!

Grace – Thanks. I’m learning in Subang Jaya ;)

Sweewon – Quick, quick, download the pic and set as desktop wallpaper! Don’t cry, guai~… Remember don’t crop away my URL watermark ya… guai~~… ;D

Jian – Take some Xmas pics from Sweden!! As for Jap pick ups, I’m learning, I’m learning :p I know they’ll come in handy – hopefully very soon!! LOL!
